Nick Villaume

Nick started as a web developer in the early 90's in New Orleans, LA. In those days, the web developer was the entire team and he was required to learn the whole job from consulting, to design, to development and, eventually, programming. As a result, he was privilege to work on projects such as the original Ruth's Chris Steakhouse site, Cafe Du Monde, The Louisiana Superdome and many of New Orleans famous hotels like the Royal Sonesta.This background has prepared him with the understanding and patience to work with designers and programmers and bridge the gap between technology, information and design.

Over the past 15 years, Nick has worked in both large firms doing work for clients such as BellSouth, The Coca-Cola Company and King & Spalding as well as having worked with some of the top consulting firms in the country, such as Definition 6, Engauge Digital, and BellSouth Online.

In the early 2000's, he began to do a great deal of work as a freelance web and applications developer and consultant working alongside freelance and small graphic design firms. This is where he began to identify a desire to help bring world-class web development services to companies who lack the capital and staff to provide these internally, but need the backing of a solid team to sell web work.

Today, Nick lives in Atlanta, GA with his wife Mary (see below) and their 3 children. He is very active in World Mission work through his church, Shallowford Presbyterian, where he Chairs the Worldwide Ministries Committee and is a ruling elder on the session.

Mary Villaume

Mary is a Louisiana native and has a background in both Education and IT Management and has taught in areas of technology, literature/grammar and foreign language. In the technology field, she holds her a Microsoft Certified Professional designation, which does her no good working with The Dev Department (we are an open source dev shop), but it sounds good!

As a project manager, Mary is responsible for making sure that projects stay on track by working directly with the development team and Solutions Partners. Her role is to oversee schedule and process and ensure that tasks are delivered and assigned in a format that will ensure the highest possible level of accuracy.

Sydore Pry
DEVELOPMENT LEAD - SOUTHEAST ASIA
Sydore has been with The Dev Department since April of 2008 and is currently the lead developer in our Southeast Asian development office. In addition to building websites, he is also responsible for identifying and mentoring new developers as they are hired. He has been coding with Joomla and PHP for over 5 years and has built dozens of Joomla! sites since he was hired.

His ability to devise complex and professional solutions as well as his dedication to doing the job right have made him our MVP in the coding arena. He has the unique ability to blend very precise XHTML/CSS skills with acute programming and problem solving.

In addition to being our MVP of development, Mr. Pry is also a community leader in his home just outside of Phnom Penh, Cambodia and he is integral in helping The Dev Department identify and lead humanitarian efforts such as clean water system installation and English lessons.
